Each June, Bacla recognizes a community group (business or organization) for their contributions and on-going support to people with an intellectual disability in our community.
We are pleased and proud to recognice the Brockville Salvation Army as this year’s recipient. We have enjoyed a long partnership with the Salvation Army over the past 10 years. They have provided space for us to run sessions for the individuals we support in cooking and music classes. These are both popular programs, and we are very grateful to the Salvation Army for their kind offering and support. BACLA has given back to the Army by assisting them with clothes-tagging for their Thrift Shop, volunteering at their store, and assisiting them with their annual Christmas campaign. A “WIN-WIN situation for both Organizations.
