In 1983, BACLA was established to serve the housing and support needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities who may present a broad range of physical, emotional and social challenges.
Our commitment to the people we serve is ongoing. Both the type and nature of supports are flexible over time to meet their wishes and changing needs.
Our supports are tailored to the individual’s needs and wishes. A formalized person-centered planning process is facilitated annually to establish the priority areas for each individual’s support plan.
Our teams of dedicated and professional Support Workers ensure a “natural and nurturing” living environment, while at the same time promoting increased participation and involvement in the life of our community.
